growing. There are 7.7 billion people on earth and 3.5 billion people are
online. People are using internet every day to see product reviews, buy
products, and for online shopping, etc.
Digital
marketing is useful to every small, medium size businesses or even large
enterprises use digital marketing to get their business online and also to grow
their business.
Digital
marketing, or online marketing, or you can also say internet marketing. These
buzz words you are hearing everywhere and you want to know what exactly it is.

marketing? And what is the meaning of terms like SEO, PPC, Content marketing,
etc...
What is Digital Marketing?
Digital marketing is way to
promote your product/service through digital channels such as websites, social
media, etc or digital marketing is a way of promoting your product through
digital devices such as laptops, pc, mobile phone etc.
Digital
marketing is a medium to communicate with your customer through various
channels such as email, social medial, blogs, etc
When some
company do digital marketing it has following objectives: 1) get traffic from
organic result 2) get traffic and revenue from ads 3) aware people of product
4) connection with audience 5) making personal brand, etc
Digital
marketing is an umbrella term. There are many type in Digital marketing such as
SEO, PPC, SEM, Content marketing, email marketing, influencer marketing,
affiliate marketing, etc..

understand what each term means.
1) SEO
SEO stand for search engine marketing. SEO is use to rank your website on a SERP (search engine result page.). SEO is organic method to get traffic on your website. Marketer use keyword research to take your blog or website on top of the SERP.
Keyword is words search by people on search engine. If you have brand new website then SEO will take a lot of time and effort to rank top in SERP.
Basically there are three types on SEO. 1) On page SEO 2) off page SEO 3) Technical SEO
On page is about content, keywords, URL, etc. off page is about backlinks, authority. And last technical SEO is about speed of website, navigation etc...

Pay-per-click in short PPC. Here lot of spending happens in digital marketing. In ppc you pay when someone click on your ad.
Google and facebook are two most popular platforms for running ppc ad campaign. Marketers run ppc campaign on LinkedIn, Google, Facebook, bing, twitter. PPC can be useful to get traffic when you have a brand new website.
3) Social Media Marketing
Social media marketing is great way to build brand awareness. It is cheap and also easy to do. So if you are trying to build brand awareness social medial platforms is a great choice.
Social media is also use for engagement with your customers, listing to your customer and resolving their issues. If you want to listen what people are talking about you, use a social listing tools like Google alert, radian6, and mention.
4) Content Marketing
Always remember content is the king. You are wondering why content is the king? Here the answer. Content is everywhere. The blog you are creating, the video you are making, the eBook, infographics, email, ads, etc.
